Something About a Blank Canvas…

I am not usually one for New Year’s resolutions. I never keep them. Ever. Instead, I tend to make tiny tweaks here and there, nothing huge, nothing that will make me feel guilty if I don’t follow through. But sometimes, you need to make a big change. Not a tweak. More like an overhaul.

And so, this year, if all goes according to plan, this website is going to get a major do-over. I am not techy, people. Nor am I trendy. But even I recognize that everything on this site is not current. My gallery is woefully full of old images. My blog is ancient history. I may still have my original AOL account for my personal email, but doggone it, I am going to make a valiant effort to be a bit more savvy on this here website thingy.

Let me just say that retroactively branding yourself is harder than you think. When I started this whole art thing, I had no idea I would end up with a licensing agreement that put my images on items sold all around the globe. Or that I would do shows or sell in galleries or be on instagram or even have a website. I wasn’t thinking long term or business-y. I was just so happy that someone would want to pay me to do something I realllllly enjoy. I’ve kind of played from behind this whole time. I’m not a super intentional person (except about where my next sweet tea is coming from), but the time for flying by the seat of my pants flew away a long time ago. It’s time to man up. Do this thing.

So, even as I type, I’m waiting on final revisions for a new logo, new color scheme, new typeface…the works. In the meantime, I’m hoping to make some minor updates here and there so that new visitors to the website won’t be greeted by old news.

If you want to keep up with my new work and adventures while all the behind-the-scenes stuff happens, follow me on instagram: www.instagram.com/littleestudio

Also, new for 2017:

  • New Product Launches with Creative Co-op, Inc at Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas Markets. My biggest Christmas collection to date!!! Woohoo!!
  • An article in MaryJanes Farm magazine
  • Possible expansion of licensing and galleries…stay tuned!

As always, thank you to anyone who has liked or purchased my work. It is a joy to bring a little happy to your homes!
