I am still all aglow from seeing my newest line from Creative Co-op at market in Atlanta! Bright, happy, textured, innovative, colorful, varied…I am just in awe of what they can do with the images I send to them. After meeting with the product developer and watching all the buyers snatching up the line, I came back home itching to paint, inspired by all that I saw, full of possibility, grateful for opportunity, floating on air! I’ve got big things up my sleeve! Now if I can just convince my three year old that naps are super fun, I might just have time to take all the ideas swirling in my head and put them on canvas!
Here’s a little recap of the the images, people and highlights of my trip to market this January:
- My first glimpse of the line through the windows of Creative Co-op
- My favorite piece based on my Apron Strings painting. They applied it to three wood panels and distressed it. They also made a little jewelry holder. Too cute!
- This wall display just jumped out at you. Happy, colorful, festive. The Banner Day distressed tin wall plaque is another favorite.
- Me with my sofa and chair paintings…they were so much bigger than I thought!
- My second favorite thing. They are so sweet and I love the texture of the bird applique!
- A new set of coasters! I’ve already seen these popping up in stores! Big hit!
- I love how they reversed the pattern on these stoneware plates. There are two images, the nest and the birds. I may have to get a set for my dining room!
- Here’s the one with the birds and the nest
- I’m thinking I will use these in my new bathroom when we rebuild!
- One of two chair pillows
- These buckets are perfect for so many things. I’m thinking art and office supplies but they would be great with plants in them as centerpieces for a spring table
- Tiny capiz boxes…adorable place to keep tiny treasures
- These large embossed tin wine bottles were fabulous!
- This girl puts the “creative” in Creative Co-op. Tamra, the product developer…how does she do it all? Amazing!
- Tawnya from C’est Moi and the amazing artist Kellie Montana! We were all so giddy! Of course, I owe this whole licensing journey to Tawnya and her store, and Kellie had just gotten a deal with Creative Co-op! We met at my first art show and became fast friends. We both have our work at C’est Moi and now we will be burning it up in the Creative Co-op Showroom. Watch out, people…it’s going to be crazy!!!!
- How happy are these faces? These artists have super successful lines with Demdaco, but I actually connected with Things With Wings through facebook before I got my deal with Creative Co-op. They found me somehow and have been such a source of encouragement and inspiration. They introduced me to Holli Christine, the sweet girl in white, who has a line called Colorful Devotions. We were having so much fun, we had to step out into the hall! So glad I got to hug their necks and connect in person! Truly one of the highlights of the entire weekend!
- How does she do it? Caroline Simas of Multiple Blessings manages to balance multiple licensing deals, motherhood and ministry in a way that blesses so many. I met this beautiful lady in July when we both launched with Creative Co-op. This time, she was so busy I had to track her down at a book signing. But i am so glad I did!
- I have no idea why Little Lhama was wandering around market but I had to get a picture for my sweet girl who loves these books!
- Hilarious, handsome, helpful…I couldn’t do any of this without him. My love!
- Another view of journals from the catalog
- My very favorite favorite….embroidered nest and branch, velvet eggs…too lovely!
- I cannot even begin to describe my love for this pillow when I saw it in person.
- I need this right now actually…thank goodness I get samples!
- the first of what I hope to be a very fun and original Christmas line!
- more Christmas love
Please don’t pinch me if you see me…I don’t want to wake up from this incredible dream!
So what’s next for little e? I’ve been hitting the studio hard to meet deadlines for Creative and to get ready for the Art Event at Lipscomb this weekend, February 1-3. More deadlines and then the Harding Art Show the first weekend in May. Then my first solo show in June during the run of Wizard of Oz at the Town Centre Theatre in Brentwood. Somewhere in there, I am going to need a beach trip, I think! For a complete schedule of shows and retailers who carry my originals and my line, check out the Where section on my website.
And thank you all for the prayers and kind words regarding our recent house fire. Rebuilding is slow and tedious but we truly have all that we need in our little rental. We are happy and content and loved and grateful and blessed and amazed and surrounded and supported. Beauty from ashes all around us.
with love,
little e
